At Rater, a distinctive "Anti-Catfishing" online dating platform has been developed with a strong emphasis on user authenticity, honesty, and safety. The inception of Rater stemmed from a personal encounter of the Founder who was a victim of a dating app romance scam in 2018. According to FTC and FBI reports, romance scams have resulted in over $1 billion in losses, and this number continues to rise annually. Shockingly, more than 70% of online dating profiles contain false information. Furthermore, the phenomenon of "swiping fatigue" is prevalent among singles who yearn for genuine in-person connections and interactions.
Rater offers a comprehensive solution to address these challenges by integrating AI technology, human verification/feedback processes, and real-life event options.

In the onboarding process:

	<li>Prospective users on the Rater platform undergo thorough checks for violent felonies and sex offenses before they can create a profile or engage with other users.</li>
	<li>Users can earn a verification symbol on their profiles by completing AI-powered "selfie" photo verification (supported by IDMERIT).</li>
</ul>

Within the matchmaking interface:
<ul>
	<li>Users can provide feedback on their interactions once they commence messaging and engaging with others. The rating system focuses on human experiences, identifies catfishers or scammers, and simplifies the process of reporting such individuals to Rater.</li>
</ul>

IRL 'Radar by Rater' mixers:
<ul>
	<li>Rater hosts city-by-city pop-up singles mixers under the 'Radar by Rater' initiative to alleviate "Swiping Fatigue" and foster genuine face-to-face connections. Notably, real-life interactions significantly reduce the potential for catfishing, which predominantly occurs online.</li>
